NXP, Bussiness HPMS customer compliant handling

From January to May 2010, we created a task force, Jan was leading, to solve a packing issue happening at one of our main customer. Even outside the Business Line group, Jan fully supported our customer to solve the problem as fast as possible showing a fantastic determination and customer focus mindset.

Jan took the lead on this case driving the investigations at our production factory in Asia and providing feedback toward the customers. Jan and myself started the investigation by visiting the customer to have better understanding of the problem. This was done directly on the customer production line then he kept the customer up to date of the status of the investigations during weekly call. He was one of the key expertise used to support with robust evidences the customer. This has created trust and intimacy.

With his strong experience in the back end field, Jan went directly in the right way of solving issue since the first customer visit. It helps also to have a 360° view on the problem, investigating IC production line parameters, supplier material specification, customer machine specification and mechanism. This was the best way to find out the root cause which was a combination of several parameters at IC supplier / supplier material and customer machine.

We finally visited the customer at the end of the investigation, explaining the full content of 8D report. Customer was really impressed by the quality of the investigation and professional manner that was demonstrated during this crisis period.
